I've played around with various Plan, Section and Pen settings and have tried various layer combinations. And, it doesn't matter which View Map category I select. Problem may have to do with Adobe Reader being the application that previews work to be printed. It's as if the printer is getting the message to print only in PDF size.
Any suggestions on how to switch to another preview app. and what alternate app.to use? Or does the solution lie elsewhere?
This is the first time I've used my printer (HP cp1700) since installing Snow Leopard. I never had a problem before with it. Could this be a compatability problem? Is there a way to correct it?

I've just got my new Mac Pro w/ 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 8gb memory, ATI Radeon HD 4870 graphics card.

When I'm photo-rendering, either with Lightworks or Internal Rendering Engine, and when I'm using built-in GDL tree objects and regardless of crown parameters, the process slows way down, sometimes to an extremely slow rate. The same thing if I'm using certain jpg shaders.

Of course, the same problem occurred with my old I-mac which didn't have nearly as much under the hood. But I expected a noticeable increase in speed with my Mac Pro (the Activity Monitor shows around 500 MB getting used for rendering with the Mac Pro).

Apple says the slowdown is because A-12 doesn't utilize 4-cores. And that Snow Leopard will also speed things up.

Will A-13 take better advantage of the 4-core, especially when Snow Leopard is the OS? Or are ther other issues involved?
